1. Who we are

Creator Meet Dev (creatormeetdev.com) is a matchmaking service where game studios find content creators, and creators find studios. The service is run by Tasture Media (Bram Steenhuis, sole proprietor), Oder 20, A2934, 2491 DC The Hague, The Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 85120197. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@tasturemedia.com.

2. What data we collect

Everyone: your email address, a hashed password, your display name, your role (studio, creator or manager), and the time you created your account.

Creators: the profile you fill in (display name, bio, region, languages, genres, what you are open to, follower and view numbers), links to your YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Instagram, and whether you accept invites. For YouTube and Twitch we also fetch public data about your channel: your latest video or stream title, link, thumbnail, publication date, recent view counts and, for YouTube, subscriber count and video tags. From titles and tags we suggest genres, which you can accept or ignore.

Connecting Twitch (optional): if you choose "Connect Twitch", you log in on Twitch and approve one permission, which lets us read the total number of followers of your channel (the Twitch permission is called moderator:read:followers). From Twitch we then receive your Twitch user ID, username, profile picture and follower count, and we store a refresh token that lets us update that count every day without asking you to log in again. We never receive your Twitch password or email address, and the permission does not let us post, chat or change anything on your channel.

Managers: managers (agents and agencies) are invited by us. A manager can add a profile for a creator they represent, with the creator's email address and the same profile details as above. We email that person once to ask them to confirm. Until they confirm, the profile is not shown to studios. They can decline, withdraw later, or tell us they do not know the manager, in which case we delete the profile and keep only their email address on a list that stops managers from adding them again.

Studios: your studio name, the games you add (name, genres, description, store link), your shortlist and pass choices per game, the invites you send, your subscription status and a customer reference from our payment provider. We do not see or store your card details.

Communication: invites (pitch and offer type), your replies, and chat messages sent through the platform.

Technical: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and standard server logs (IP address, browser, time) kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use analytics or tracking cookies.

4. Who can see what

  • A creator profile (including channels, stats and latest content) is visible to every logged-in studio while the creator accepts invites. Your email address is never shown to studios.
  • A studio's shortlist and pass lists are private to that studio. Creators are not told when they are shortlisted or passed on. Other studios only see an anonymous count, such as "shortlisted by 2 other studios".
  • An invite is visible to the studio that sent it and the creator it was sent to. Chat messages are visible to those two parties.
  • A creator can block a studio, which stops further invites from it.

5. Who processes data for us

We use the following providers, who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements:

ProviderWhat for
SupabaseDatabase and login
VercelHosting of the website
StripeSubscription payments for studios
ResendSending service emails

We also use the YouTube API Services and the Twitch API to read public channel data. By using this service you agree that we use YouTube API Services, and to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. We only use a public API key, so we cannot access anything in your Google account. We refresh YouTube data regularly and delete it when you remove your channel from your profile or delete your account. Twitch's terms and privacy notice apply to Twitch data.

If you connect your Twitch account, Twitch (Twitch Interactive, Inc., an Amazon company) shares the data described in section 2 with us. We use it only to show your follower count and to confirm that the channel is yours. You can disconnect at any time with the Disconnect Twitch button on your profile, or by removing Creator Meet Dev at twitch.tv/settings/connections. When you disconnect, change your Twitch username, or delete your account, we delete the stored refresh token and stop reading your follower count. The follower number already shown on your profile is reset when you disconnect.

Some providers are based outside the European Economic Area, in particular the United States. Where that is the case, transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep data

  • Twitch connection (user ID and refresh token): until you disconnect Twitch, change your Twitch username, or delete your account.
  • Account, profile, games, lists, invites and messages: until you delete your account. Deleting your account removes them from our systems right away. Messages you sent also disappear from the other person's chat. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
  • Billing records and invoices: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law. These stay with our payment provider.
  • Server logs: up to 30 days.

7. Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Most of this you can do yourself on the Account page: download all your data as a file, or delete your account. For anything else write to hello@tasturemedia.com; we answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored hashed. Access to the database is restricted by row level security, so users can only read what is meant for them. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the authorities if a breach affects your data, as the law requires.

9. Children

The service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
